Beatrix Massig

Beatrix Massig holds the post of Energy Policy Advisor at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, where she is responsible for bilateral climate and energy cooperation with China. She has worked for the ministry since 2016 and is currently focused on cooperation across the European, national and international levels. A qualified lawyer, Ms Massig is fluent in Chinese and has studied and worked in China. In August 2019, she became a director on a German-Chinese electromobility project at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit in Beijing – a role she took on for a year. Ms Massig has been admitted to the German Bar and holds a Master of Laws degree from the College of Europe in Bruges.
